Keeping Safe During Covid-19

Putterills’ Applicant Viewing Guidelines - December 2021

These guidelines have been produced by Putterills in line with the Government advice we have received for use during the Covid- 19 period

  • Initially please try our virtual viewings - as many of Putterills instructions as possible have virtual tours
  • If you live locally to the property you wish to view, then please view the property from the outside first to ensure you like the look of the property and its location.
  • You will be asked whether any party wishing to view is showing symptoms of Covid-19, have been asked to self-isolate or they are shielding a vulnerable person in their household. If any of the above are positive then no appointment can be made.
  • Agents are NOT allowed to take applicants to appointments in their cars.
  • The number of applicants viewing should be kept to a minimum, ideally two and preferable no children. You must all be from the same household. If you do bring children it’s your responsibility to make sure they don’t touch things and the viewing will be terminated if you do not do so.
  • If the applicants are not from the same household (perhaps a couple not currently living together), then this must be dealt with by 2 or more separate viewings.
  • If the property being viewed is occupied, we will have asked the seller to make sure surfaces such as door handles, banisters etc have been cleaned before the viewing with household cleaners and to open internal doors and ideally windows
  • We will not ask you to remove your shoes but we may ask you to wear shoe covers.
  • We will request that the vendor leaves the property during the viewing (sits in garden, waits in car etc). If this is not possible, then all members of the household should remain in one room.
  • On arrival at the property, please wash your hands or use hand sanitiser.
  • Maintain a 2-meter distance at all times and where this is not possible you may wish to consider wearing a face mask.
  • Applicants are kindly asked to not touch non-essential items/surfaces.
  • Viewings should be a maximum of 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Please leave any questions to the end of the viewing and ideally refer to Putterills with any queries you may have.
  • Putterills are not able to provide PPE to any 3rd parties (Buyers or sellers).

Thank you for adhering to these Government guidelines and helping to ensure we all stay safe and well at this difficult time.
