We have loved our house from the moment we first stepped through the door - it is a light, open and happy house with a lovely warm aura - something often remarked upon by visitors.
Even after 14 years, we still appreciate the beautiful, thoughtful design and little touches from the designer; the cosy, beamy spacious living room and double doors in the bedroom looking out onto the garden and the trees and sky as far as the eye can see.
In the summer, the peaceful, beautiful southerly facing garden is a joy of warmth, scented flowers and sunlight, with lots of cosy corners for relaxing, a patio area for entertaining and the lawn for paddling pools and trampolines.
In the winter, the house converts into a wonderfully warm and cosy home, with comforting open fireplace, beautifully warm underfloor heating and beamy interior that comes alive with Christmas decorations - wonderful to come home to and shut the front door, leaving our muddy boots parked on the porch outside after a walk in the beautiful rolling countryside right on our doorstep.
Burnham Green is also a wonderful location - in the countryside but less than 20 minutes into London from Welwyn North, with handy local shops and a John Lewis only a short drive away.
