10th Feb: Young Chef of the Year, Oaklands College, St Albans

Oaklands College teams up with Lussmanns Fish & Grill for the annual Young Chef of the Year competition. Open to Year 10 and 11 students, the competition is a great opportunity to show off your cooking skills in front of a panel of experienced professionals. Whether a starter, main course or dessert, your dish will be judged by a panel including Martin West, Head Chef at The Stables Restaurant, Andrei Lussmann, Founder of Lussmanns Restaurants and Becky Alexander, local food writer.
The finals of the competition will take place on the 10th February 2018 when the aspiring young chefs will prepare their dishes at The Stables Restaurant state of the art catering facilities at Oaklands College. The overall winner will receive a £50 gift voucher for Lussmans Fish & Grill, work experience at the restaurant plus a trophy and framed certificate. The two runners-up will receive a £25 gift voucher for Lussmans, a framed certificate and also work experience at College’s Stables Restaurant.
